Housing Rehabilitation Program

At this time the County is not accepting applications for assistance. However, the Waiting List Worksheet may be completed for placement on the Program’s waiting list but does not constitute approval or denial for assistance under the Program. Each worksheet’s household will be notified by mail, in order of submission, when the Program is ready to accept applications.

Due to limited funding an application may not be sent from the County for approximately 12-24 months. During this waiting period the County will not verify eligibility for assistance until submission of an application and required documents are completed. Once a completed application and documentation is received by the County the applicant will be required to qualify under the Program’s current requirements.

The basic objective of the Housing Rehabilitation Program is to improve the housing of income eligible persons in a manner that conserves existing housing stock and contributes to neighborhood revitalization and preservation.

This program is administered by the Economic Development (ED) Department. The Housing Rehabilitation Program is funded by State grant funds awarded to Lassen County by the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program.
