Public Guardian
Health and Social Services consists of the Public Guardian or Public Conservator (PG/PC) who conduct the official County investigation into conservatorship matters.
The PC/PC also acts as the legally appointed conservator for persons found by the Superior Courts to be unable to properly care for themselves or their finances or who cannot resist undue influence or fraud or who are determined to be gravely disabled.
The Public Guardian's office also has a Representative Payee program that can provide service to disabled, low income people who have a demonstrated need for assistance in managing their money.
